When I worked in the medical field, I spent time talking with three women who were old enough to be my mother. Their words carried weight with me. They were my elders, and they had lived a lot more life than I had, so I wanted to hear what they thought.
What I learned stayed with me. Not one of them liked her job. They stayed because they had bills to pay and needed to survive. They didn't believe they had another choice.
So I started asking other people in my life the same question: what would you do if you had another opportunity, or if there were no limits? Everyone had ideas. But no one wanted to change their path. Not because they didn't want something else, but because the unknown was scary.
Then I had to ask myself: was I doing the same thing?
I knew I was meant to do something else. And like the universe knew I needed a push, I started seeing content about coaching, and then therapy. I jumped on both.
It was during coaching that I started to see something I hadn't fully realized before. I had choices. Surviving was one option. But I could also carve a different path and live the life I wanted.
I could want more for myself.
I realized I already had the wisdom within myself. At first, I just needed someone to validate it. Then I learned how to validate myself.
I believe everyone should have that power. The power to see their own potential, and to act on it.
That's why I do this work.
So now I'll ask you what I once had to ask myself.
Have you been questioning your current reality?
Do you believe it's time to make a change?
